Last night Tilda won the award at the inaugural Scottish Woman of the Year Awards, held in Edinburgh. The overall Scots Woman of the Year award was given to Tina McGeever, of Buckie, whose campaign for free cancer drugs in the NHS led to a change in government policy. A glittering ceremony was held at Edinburgh’s Mansfield Traquair and was attended by an array of celebrities. The awards – voted by readers of Scottish Woman magazine and viewers of STV’s The Hour – were given in style, wit and wisdom categories.
